Vertical integration strategy

Vertical integration in the fields of light alloy materials and hard metals.

vertical integration LAUAK Group

After more than 20 years of internal development, LAUAK Group has embarked on a vertical integration strategy in the fields of light alloy materials and hard metals, thanks to continuous investment and external growth.

Around its core activity - sheet metal working for the aerospace industry - LAUAK Group has diversified and integrated all the various processes in terms of design, production and assembly of detail parts, subsets and aircraft structures in order to deliver global solutions for their customers:

  • Industrialization
  • Manufacturing detail parts
  • Tubes and Pipes
  • Welding
  • Assembly
  • Non Destructive Testing
  • Surface Treatment
  • Supply Chain

Our development strategy is based on a diversification plan in machining, the implementation of innovative technologies and productivity gains with optimized manufacturing flows (lean manufacturing).

LAUAK Group has achieved two external growth transactions in machining:

  • Acquisition of CENTRAIR in 2016, that manufactures composite parts
  • Acquisition of ALISAERO in 2017, specialized in complex welded and machined engine parts
  • Acquisition of NIMITECH in 2018, innovative solutions center

These new acquisitions and investments, together with the company’s financial strength, have given LAUAK Group the chance to reinforce its leadership position in its core markets. Today, LAUAK Group is a key partner for aerospace manufacturers (AIRBUS, DASSAULT AVIATION, EMBRAER, EUROCOPTER and IAI) and major suppliers (LIEBHERR, SAFRAN).

Today, LAUAK produces parts and assemblies on the base of customers’ definitions but stay autonomous in the engineering of the industrialization and process simulation. We are often asked to participate in the validating the definition (design to cost, concurrent engineering) and improvement (re-design to cost, weight saving, quality enhancement) of parts.

An engineering department has been created to meet the customers’ needs. Its mission starts with configuration management, adaptation towards new solutions all the way to suggesting improvements to our customers.

We develop innovation and R&D competencies in composite and thermoplastic parts.
